I Am Waiting

I am waiting

for the next discontinuity
in your smile

a break in thought
a vacant moment
when eyes forget
the smile

I am not afraid
not any longer

a glass scribed
with a maze of lines

waiting
to break at the slightest pressure
of an accidental hand
