I Am Waiting For You Poem by Arun Maji

A day may come
When with smile in your eyes
You would call me.
Yes, I am waiting for you.

I dream
A pair of soft arms,
Two dark Eyes,
Two cherry lips-
Loving me
Teasing me
Paining me.

I have painted rainbow
On clouded sky
And I am waiting for you.

I wish I had someone-
I would make her hair
And decorate her bun with flowers.
I would hold her in arms
And while keeping eyes on eyes
I would ask her
"Tell me, what I am looking at"?
I would burn my hands
And make breakfast,
And then ask her in her sleep
"breakfast, your breakfast please".

I have painted thousands of wishes
On canvas of my fading youth
And I am still waiting for you.
