I Am Who, I Am Poem by Edgar James Momoh

I Am Who, I Am

I have no desire to be you
Because you are who you are
God made me so, and he made you so.
I am content with what I am, how I look and what I have
Don't expect me to wear your shoes
They are too tight, too high, too sleek, too slack for me
Just let me be who I am...

If in relating with you I learn any of your good traits,
That too is a blessing
But I don't wanna be you
Because I am who I am and you are who you are
We are just different even though not indifferent about you
Your strengths are my weaknesses
And your weaknesses are my strength...
So I don't wanna be you, because I am who I am.
