I Am Whole Poem by connie crane

I Am Whole

We danced around,
And around and around,
Until at last we were as one.
The separation that had never been,
Was finally evident to me,
Not just to Him.

It had been my dream,
My illusion,
My altered reality,
That caused me to believe,
He was separate from me.

I cried out to Him,
From within my dream,
He heard me.
He came to me,
As a man.

He wooed me.
He won me.
He let me dance with Him,
Until my Spirit awoke and finally,
Recognized Him.

I saw His light.
I entered in.
I ceased to be “me” with “him.”
To be one with God is to know,
That my Spirit is his Spirit,
That I am whole.
