I Believe Poem by Osvaldo Govea

I Believe

I believe,
That when life is born,
A life somewhere must end.
And when you have gained an enemy,
You have lost a friend.
I believe,
That when a bird learns how to fly,
A fawn learns how to walk.
And when a man has said he's last words,
A baby begins to talk.
I believe,
That when day begins,
Somewhere it's getting dark.
And when an innocent child is delivered to evil,
A man on death row finds God in his heart.
I believe,
What goes around comes around,
So watch what you do.
Sooner or later Karma will come and find you.
