I Bruise Easy

it's always slippery where i walk
i'm so afraid of falling

i fell so many times i can't remember
still i never learn..

i look for stable points
i look for something to hold my balance

nothing stays in place
nothing holds me up

i thought i learned to ride the slope
i thought i had it figured out

speed was actually fun for a second
but it sure hurts in the end..

and it hurts more when you look up
and see the slope you're going to fall on..

you know what's coming
but you still need to try

there has to be a ride without the fall!
only what can't move won't leave me...

poet Ambrose Bierce

Weather
by Ambrose Bierce

Once I dipt into the future far as human eye could see,
And I saw the Chief Forecaster, dead as any one can be--
Dead and damned and shut in Hades as a liar from his birth,
