I Cannot Escape The Poem



I CANNOT ESCAPE THE POEM

I cannot escape the poem.
It pursues me
It doesn’t know my name
But it wants to dream in my voice.
The poem pursues
And then waits
Until I open to it,
And then goes far away
To the other side
Of what I am
And then is not and unknown.
