When the day is done
And thoughts of you flood into my head
I cannot forget

I see you in my mind's eye
Sleek, slender and beautiful as ever
Oh my darling daughter why did this have to happen?
Life is nothing more than a dull thud
Feet stuck deep in mud
Feelings blunted by melancholy
Caused by your unwanted departure
