I Cannot Recall The First Drop Of Rain Poem by Diana Rosser

I Cannot Recall The First Drop Of Rain

I cannot recall the first drop of rain,
but after the first fall the splatters came.
They hit the grey pavement with great big splots.
Splat, splat, splat they arrived, drop after drop.
They fell down through the clouds slowly at first
then faster, faster till the whole sky burst.
