I’d Give Poem by Wright Palafox

I’d Give

I can’t thank the Lord enough,
For giving me you,
So please heed my calls
Oh honey please do!

Know that I’d give you anything,
Because your love means everything,
So when despair would steadily set,
I’d give you some chocolate!

So like a painter with his art,
I’d give you my heart
Take it way! Leave a gaping hole
On this chest…wait! You’ve forgotten my soul!

When you’re treated for much less,
I’m always here to serve my princess!
Even if it isn’t me you chose,
I’d still give you this rose!

Even if my notes are all wrong,
I’d still sing you a song!
And each time you’d miss,
I’d give you another kiss!

Oh can you hear that? The bells of matrimony sing!
Someday, my dear I promise! I’d give you that golden ring!
Ooh, blest I am if you’d be my wife!
Such I shall tend, I’d give you my life!

And whenever you feel cold, I’d give you this hug,
With my arms around, keeping you warm and snug!
Ooh, what I’d give to make you stay…
ANYTHING, I’d say!

I really can’t thank the Lord enough,
For giving me…you,
Because how can this be?
You mean EVERYTHING to me!
