Treasure Island

Mandolyn ...

i'd offer you a drink, but all i have are malted milk balls

they say it's gonna rain
and you flip me
a ridiculous smile-

you know how
i like to hug thunder
anaconda squeeze
till lightning leaks

fries us both
to a golden brown
serves us
upside down
with a side of
are we there yet?

which always ends up cold-

i like when you scoot closer
how your knee slants-
thumping mine

you never notice
how i pinch my lip
when you look the other way

so it's gonna pour...

i'd hug you
but your arms are crossed-
i'm soaking, afraid
that you might bite

When biting Boreas, fell and doure,
