~i Dare You To~ Poem by E Nigma

~i Dare You To~

Rating: 5.0

Devils feast and drink
While angels watch and weep
From the end to the beginning
So long

Patience counts the days
While Reason gives no sway
We've held to this belief
Too long

There's a holy hand to shake
While a tongue twists in the cheek
A prisons built by your beliefs
Long gone

(Imagine) there's a song
Where you could write the wrongs
The wrongs could right themselves
Till they're gone

I really like the poetic structure and the cadence of this poem; it resonates beautifully with each closing line of each stanza, carefully and skilfully chosen: So long Too long Long gone Till they're gone......Absolutely Beautiful!
