I Defy I Poem by Simon Chamoun

I Defy I

Rating: 5.0

I dare Shakespeare to could have expressed in words
one of the moments when our lips sang the songs of humming-birds

I dare Romeo to could have translated by a touch
one of the feelings whenever ma finger-tips felt your pulse

I dare God of Love with my state of perfection in satisfaction
at every glance i had into your Brown Wide Eyes of glorious attraction

I dare the highest waves in the Seas to ever could have trembled
as my heart ever did whenever your name was whispered or mentioned

I dare love to ever be or could have been as it was
whenever the You & I got together creating the Us

I dare a mind to stand to live knowing that you were ever lost
but laws of life are as it is and it makes it carry on

I dare life to could have found a love that is so true
a will in da soul to dropp its shell towards the unknown... Just for you

I dare truth to be as close or near to being true
as ma tongue was when it sang the words... I Love You
