I Do Okay Poem by Neil Crawford

I Do Okay

Two Latin ladies snap themselves
outside the Cavern Club.

To them it's the shot of a lifetime,
I pass the sign almost every day.

I even played a few times
with a couple of my juvenile bands.

There are those who, owning that memory,
would die quite contented.

I like the fact that this speaks to me of how we take things for granted, routine and may miss something that others delight in. Regards Mary
