I Don'T Feel So Alone Poem by Elizabeth Haasch

I Don'T Feel So Alone

So here I am remembering the days he came along.
Coat in hand.
Flat brimmed hat.
Light baggy jeans and a Abercrombie T.

he swept my heart away after one meeting.
He took away my scars,
made me feel no pain and filled them with love.
We sang at the top of our lungs.
He showered me with gifts
and I couldn’t show him what I needed.

So here I am remembering you
the way you smell
the way you walked
how we were able to talk.
In this sweet twilight of a night
let us make music once again
and may I call you my dear
because you were the only thing that was so sweet.
So here I am writing this one for you
because we fit so perfectly.
So as you are sleeping soundly
I’m writing to you my dear because I wish you were here.
