I Don'T Need A Man Poem by Angel Jordan

I Don'T Need A Man

I've realized it's wrong,
what I thought before.
I have to be strong,
all the way to the core.

I don't need a man,
not to make me weak.
Not to lend a hand,
not to make me meak.

I want a man so much,
but I know it's not a need.
I have to be tough,
but I want him to take the lead.

Him to take that first step,
and make that first stride.
Open my heart where it's kept,
and take a blind leap inside.
