I never wanted to hurt you
I swear id never try
But as the words poured out my mouth
I slowly began to cry

I didn’t want to tell you
I didn’t want to hide
But the lies would hurt worse
And now I don’t stand with pride

The only words out your mouth
Were ones I don’t understand?
'I don’t know' is all i heard
Which wasn’t what I planned?

I expected you to leave me
You might still do it that way
But hopefully the trust will be regained
and we can go on day to day
