I Dream
In Darkness I feel as I close my Eyes,
This Emptiness it grips me Close,
With every gasp of Breath I Reach,
How much Longer until I Find,
That Place I see when I Sleep,
The Feeling of Life that fills my Soul,
The Path I seek when I am Lost,
How I wish this Night would Last,
That this dream I see would never Fade,
Why does it feel so Far Away?
But a distant Dream I wish to have,
A Hope I Cling to like My Thoughts,
To find a Place that calls for me,
To find a Heart that cries for me,
To find a World where I belong.
Well, my dear Adrian, I only have one thing to say: CONGRATULATION! You finally found the right path that will lead you straight to light at the end of the tunnel: The Poetry World! You already got started by posting this well penned and poignant write! Outbursts of the heart! You got what it takes to make it in the Poetry World: TALENT! Keep it up!
