I Dreamt Of Her Death Poem by Ashley Fortin

I Dreamt Of Her Death

I dreamt of her death,
where her car veered off the road,
the water filling in
through the open windows,
her hands lay on her seat belt
but she did not hardly move,
and when her lover came
to rescue her,
she didn't follow through.
Refusing to let go of death,
her seat belt kept her loose
and when all air escaped her
she cried in water, blue.
Here she cried from everything,
everything she'll miss
but in her silent motionless
she also cried from bliss.
