I Feel, But... Poem by Kimberly Hope

I want to love you,
to leave my past life completely behind.
I don't want to love you for all of the wrong reasons,
but I feel as if I do anyhow.
I feel as if I am using you for what I need.
I wish to love you because of who you are,
and not of what I only wish to see in you.
If I can leave my past where it belongs,
I know that we could be happy together.
More than that though,
I want you to be happy no matter what is to happen,
and I promise to always be right beside you!
I want us to grow from deep within each other;
to embrace the better of our loves,
and only together we will.
