I Feel Hope

I see a bird flying past me
It is flying south
I wonder why it is alone

Alone, just like me
this bird could be my companion
Even my friend

But no- it can't
I know that
This bird has places to go... without me

I now I need a friend like me
A person... a human being
Someone who'll list and talk

So scared as I am
I get up and walk to that green jeep
I see a boy

He opens his door
And smiles
I feel the start of something

I feel hope

Poem of the Day

poet Sir Walter Scott

The moon's on the lake, and the mist's on the brae,
And the Clan has a name that is nameless by day;
Then gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
Gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
