I Feel Your Strength Poem by Diana van den Berg

I Feel Your Strength

Rating: 4.8

I feel your love and strength
my sweetheart horse
holding me up
and helping me walk and talk,
but oh, how heavy
is my heart
and lost and empty
is my soul.
Forgive me
for needing you so.

I can see how much you miss your horse, especially during the times that you wrote this poem and 'You would have been cold in these nights'..Such love inspires, sorry for the loss.

a very sad but beautiful write, despite the sudden emptiness, the spirit is bound to rise again and you will find strength from what held you up for so long

When a loving friend dies, the love stays within you, it never dies. Lovely tribute.

That poignant last line resonates with this reader. I am sure you are forgiven, dear Diana, and loved beyond compare. Warmest regards, Sandra

Attachment is always painful, despite the joy of loving. When you grow to understand that the love is in you, the loss of the loved one becomes less intense and your become better able to share the tenderness - as you do so poignantly in this beautiful poem. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
