I Felt Ashamed Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I feel ashamed
Not because it is claimed
As pure feeling of nonsense
It keeps me worried and tense

I remember on thing
One has to forget something
From life and once for all
The hatred has no place at all

I bear still some of it since childhood
The rich families near by never understood
They kept me away for simple reason
That we were poor so useless persons

I remember them as small boy
They may refuse me toys too
They will show little courtesy
I used to feel bad with curse and pity

That feeling never goes off from mind
Later on they turned out to be very kind
As our position improved in phased manner
We were considered well off happier
