I Fight Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

I Fight

I fight because I won't be a victim
I fight because I won't be ignored
and want to be taken seriously
and i'm going to make it happen
So show some respect, I'm demanding it
I fight because it's a lifetime strength
I fight because I have a pride that sets me ablazed
I don't believe in fear or submission
You can't have my body but you can have a piece of my mind
I fight because I love to fight back
You can fix your lips to see the confidence inside decline
like a bullet
words richochet
still I stand
I am titanium
