I Got It Poem by Courtney Steele

I Got It

Rating: 2.0

I am tired of praying but still I have to
My honor and my life are of value
See the glory how could I keep?
Characters die as loved ones weep
There are no secrets but what lies ahead
Loving me more but hurting me instead
The things I do now and the life I have led
Grasping for the love of the ones who are dead
Bowing my head in prayer agreeing I will try
Avoiding contact through the eye
So, that no one can recognize my fable
My emotions and reasons are unstable
I bring nothing to the table
So life would you please stop offering me your favors!
