I Have A Perfect Face

I have a perfect face
for friends.
Looking happy, fresh and neat.
Smiling broadly, joking, sweet.

I have a perfect smile
for strangers.
Always nice and ladylike
Being courteous and polite.

I have a perfect life
for everybody.
Lots of travel, loving spouse,
Fancy city, stylish house.

I have a perfect face
for public.
But no friends, no laugh and life,
Feeling lonely day and night.

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Your hands lie open in the long fresh grass, --
The finger-points look through like rosy blooms:
Your eyes smile peace. The pasture gleams and glooms
