I Have A Problem Poem by Gregory Huyette

I Have A Problem

Rating: 5.0

My government's problems
are my problems,
But my problems
are not my government's problems.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
No matter what political party, it seems like my government is more interested in self serving goals of wealth and power than helping find answers and solutions for the common citizen like me who is losing gound every day economically and psychologically.
I fight to keep up with the cost of living; I fight with short tempered drivers to get to work on bumpy roads built in the 50's and eternally under construction... and, as a result, when I get home I fight with my family.
I need help! My government is too busy spending my tax money on pet political projects and gifting nations who hate us while spending billions on illegal and ill fated wars and boring campaign commercials to worry about a little, unimportant citizen like me. Well, when there are enough of us in this same sinking boat WE will have a problem and, as history has shown, only then will OUR problems be OUR country's problems.
