I Have Been Told

I have been told that the world is an imperfect sphere
I have been told that I can't sing
I have been told very little that I didn't know
I have listened to more lies than even I can remember
I was brought up to consider others
So I pretend to apologize for the odd moments of deafness
And bless them with a silent prayer to the God of hypocrites
