I have brought the sacrificial goat

Rating: 4.8

I have brought the sacrificial goat
To the heap of grass, leaves and bark

He has forgotten his last beheading
But round his neck garland-like
hangs a mark

A nice poem indeed. How long can a goat can escape from being sacrificed. Congrats.

None but the poor animal knows it how the knife goes over it, how painful the beheading is! The goat's life, how painful is it?

Brilliant! Such a depth of thinking in so few lines! Sacrificial Goat - a cruel ritual observed! To the poet: He has forgotten his last beheading But round his neck garland-like hangs a mark
