I Have Missed Your Love Poem by Dónall Dempsey

I Have Missed Your Love

Rating: 5.0

I have missed
your love

& how it would
(every now & then)

visit me

stay a while then
smile & be

gone again.

I have missed
your love

loaned
to me

(every now & then)

never owned

my heart listening
for its footstep

crossing the threshold

come &
gone again

always your smile
kissing my smile

always the flicker of goodbye
in each happy hello.

I have missed
your love

more than
you could

ever

know.

That lonely time, called 'after you left, ' as opposed to 'when you were here, ' is a really hard time....and that last line...'more than you could ever know, ' tells it all.
