I Have To Go Poem by Marites C. Cayetano

I Have To Go

I cannot just count the stars
I cannot just gaze the moon
I cannot just feel the sun on my skin
the children are hungry
...I have to go.

I cannot just smell the flowers
I cannot just paint the mountains
I cannot just play with the waves
the children are sick
...I have to go.

I cannot just blame corruption
I cannot just chase the thieves
I cannot just curse the murderers
the children are dying
...I have to go.

I have to go
I have to go...
come save the children.

Your poem is a shout out, to all of humanity....Save the children and save the promise for the world's future. You have done well to prioritize the suffering that sadly still goes unnoticed by many. I believe some shut their eyes, purposely....as if the problem is for someone else to solve. All should strive to save the children....in any small way, at very least. PEACE
