I Hear It Sound Clear Poem by Thomas Duncky

I Hear It Sound Clear

I Hear It

Like a distance wail
I hear a baby's cry so well
Beckoning me to where he dwells
Like a devotee to a church bell

I hear the break of dawn
Hope tomorrow i'll be in town
To see and carry the child that's now grown
I hear it clear like the sound i've forever known
