I Hear You... (Sleepers) Poem by Sharon Smith

I Hear You... (Sleepers)

Rating: 5.0

How can I escape Your Spirit?
I feel You in and all around me.
When I wake..You are there
My head, at times, so full
Wherever I go..You are there.
In the hosts that surround me..
I feel You
I love them..yet I know them not
When You leave them..
they are strangers to me yet again.
What is this magic Lord?
How wonderful Your ways..
Higher than the ways of this earth..yet
they are more natural to me now
In the smile of the host that just walked past me..
In the words of the host
that gently spoke to me..Your words
In the messages of Love that they bring..I hear You
How You delight me when You finish Your words
through the lips of one of Your angels that pass me
You move even the lips of those that are not yet awake..
and answer me
How I wish to be in Your world forever
as it is You I desire more than anything else.

Song of songs...

The wine goes down smoothly for my beloved,
Moving gently the lips of sleepers.
