Had to say this again...

30 yrs ago I fell in love with a girl &
she with me.

We both had partners,
so nothing good
would've come from it.

I sang this to her -
we cried, kissed & parted.

We met once more at an office reunion
15 yrs later.
I was single,
she was with the same man,
but it didn't matter -

one look was all it took to know
that we'd made a mistake.

I found out last year
that she died suddenly
at home 5 yrs ago
she had breast
cancer.

I miss her. That's it.
I just miss her.
