I Hope You'Re Not Out There Listening Poem by Megan Jonson

I Hope You'Re Not Out There Listening

Rating: 5.0

The scars remain
From when we were we
But I don't want
You to see
Don't want to talk through this again
I hope you're not out there listening
Don't want you to hear
The words of desperation
Don't see my tears
I'm over you now
And I don't want you to know
How you broke my heart
How I felt alone
I'll just forget
And you can do the same
You shouldn't have heard
When I cried your name
Because I was stupid
For getting that way
So I hope you never heard
When I'd say
How I missed you
And wanted you back every day
These will be the last words
I'll waste on you
Because I've survived
And I didn't need you
So this I'll scream
But hope it won't reach your ears
Because all of my cries
Weren't for you to hear
I hope you weren't out there listening
The days I shed these tears
