I Invoke Poem by Leaking Pen

I Invoke

Rating: 5.0

I invoke the right to defend
No apologies my friend.
The purity of snowy winters
Covers bent branches and splinters
From reckless a summer game show
And aimless hunters plotting on the go
When desires to love run wild,
Turning an aging man back to a wild child
And reckless behaviour on full display,
Covering to black the entire grey.
The first sign of immaturity
To latch on to immortality,
But what can a fake veneer do
When fading minds lose their clue.
I shame the vanity of old ages
Let the youth have their stages.
Oh vanity the wallet bleeders
When cosmetics men are its seekers
Am I being harsh in my judging?
I meant no personal grudging,
But it amusing me when all that we know
Masquerades from top and below.
Let Eve have her lipsticks and blush
For she bares man's obsessive crush
Whether she wants it or not
Her decision alone to plot.
Evolution lifted man from the cave
But pinned women's heart as his slave
Out of choice and pure design
Man forced on me this forbidden line.

Whose life projects and whose roles assign
Oh hear me o Calvin Kline…
Plotting from your hidden shrine
Flowering scents to paint all faces.
When confusion, Adam and Eve exchange places
Can't tell if a bra is meant for a man's chest
Or for women as a unisex poster suggest.
This poem is very clear in its intent
Take heart, my poem shelters a very large tent.
It does not attack gender bending
Or one voice above the others condemning.
I admire all the flowers from nature's creative gardens
I shun man's fabricated sins or granting of pardons,
Yet I do not judge people of open faith
My poet's heart embraces interfaith.
