I Just Keep On Penning More Stuff Poem by Francis Duggan

I Just Keep On Penning More Stuff

I do not have a literary degree or I'm not well educated
And it does not bother me if as a writer I'm not even rated
I just keep on penning more stuff in my moments of leisure
From such at least I do receive a little bit of pleasure
There's always something in this life to enjoy, sadden or amaze you
And there's always one to put you down and there's always one to praise you
For many in this World today survival is a battle
Even in times of drought for the farmer life is hard with poor prices for cattle
Though the rhymes I pen not in demand and seen as out of fashion
I write because I like to write and I do write with a passion
I penned my first rhymes far away in Millstreet in Duhallow
Our life's destiny is mapped for us the course we have to follow
As for me I do not write for financial gain or any sort of literary glory
And the rhymes I write are simple rhymes they tell a simple story.
