I Killed A Man Poem by Thembi ngadlela

Oh i killed a man.....
He said he loved me and i believed him
he said he cared and i treasured him,
he said he wants me for life n i pleased him,
oh! ! How i loved him and gave him my all...

He turned around and broke my heart,
and yet i forgave him,
he saw the weakness in me,
played with my feelings n toyed with my heart,
he left me with an empty heart,
loss oh hope n all out of love...
Oh how i killed him! ! ! !
Threw his body in the crocodile pitt,
fed his heart to the lions,
I so killed that man! ! ! !

He gave me his all, love, life n soul
my world was his own
my heart, you bet was his home
n I loved him straight to the bone, right through the core of his heart
I guess the past paid me a visit
and all flash backs came...

He was an innocent man
yet I broke his heart tarnished all the love inside

oh I killeda man! ! !
He said he loved me and i believed him,

oh how I loved him n gave my all
but all my efforts shot down...
He made me feel small n unworthy
he made me inferior n invisible
how my heart broke everytime he uttered a word..

All my efforts shot down
all my love, vanished from his eyes
was I worthy? Was I his best?
Was i meeting his expectations?
Oh what am i doing?

This man is killing me
am dying slowly n surely
I have to kill this man before he gets to the end of me.

Oh I killed a man,
it's either me or him
since I'm unworthy in his eyes
some one will see the germ that i am,
I will shine as bright as a diamond
am surely bound to flicker n catch another man's eye...

Oh how I killed a man,
shot him dead, n out of my heart
was either me or him,
n it was a slow n painfull death
bang! ! Bang! !
Not gunshots but fire crackers...
See me celebrate my single life.
