I know pain and sadness
I wake up in the morning to it
I sleep in the evening on it
Its in my heart the whole day
Its even a part of me
It keeps me cold on the
Sunny South African summer days
Even colder on the snowy winters
If I were to cry from feeling it
I’d create a river far greater than the Nile
For all Africans to drink in it
Many who had come before I did, and left.
After having lived in the very same pattern
Even the ones that will come after me will
Fallow on the footsteps of their elders
I feel like crying when a baby is born into this misery
When will we ever be free?
When will Africa stop suffering?
When will humanity rule?
