I KNOW THAT YOU KNOW

I know that you know
- we have observed one another,
I know that you know
- we have a desire to communicate,
I know that you know
- we have 'something' building between us,
I know that you know
- time is of essence,
I know that you know
- this may be the only opportunity
to know one-another;

Therefore, my dear,
Let us be very clear,
Someone has to break the 'Ice'
Or bury oneself into the 'Crevise'
Of a very basic premise that
'I know that you know but yet I know not.'

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
