I Lay Awake Poem by Sandi Riales

I lay awake in the middle of the night,
thinking to myself,
Will everything be alright.

I lay awake at sunrise
With tears all in my eyes.
thinking what the day will bring,
If only my phone would ring.

I lay awake not wanting to get out of bed,
I know that trough the day
I'll wish that I was dead.

I lay awake through out the day,
With so much fright.
Until I remember that, GOD has said,
Walk by Faith and not by Sight.
