I Learned How To Lie (To Myself) Poem by Newo Enec

I Learned How To Lie (To Myself)

I dreamt of you.
And you came down on me so hard
That dark desire in your eyes
I reached for you to pull you closer
But you shoved my hands away
Pressing in, forcing yourself against me
I opened my mouth to scream
But your warms lips absorbed my voice
Your tongue searching every inch of my mouth
And your nails dug deep into my back
Shocking me into another night of submission
If I said I didn't want you anymore
The world knows I lie to myself
When I said I didn't love you anymore
I learned how to lie to myself
