I Lit A Little Candle Poem by wordsy wright

I Lit A Little Candle

Rating: 5.0

I lit a little candle
oh so long ago
just a little flicker
that within my heart did glow

Such a tiny flame
to stand against the wind
buried deep within my soul
it's warmth it did lend

When darkness is all around me
and I have lost my way
it's light it did surround me
as bright as any day

Such a little candle
to burn through all the years
never did once it waver
even through all the tears

You have answered beautifuly one of the questions I have long had: How close do you have to get to the flame before you see the light. Thank You! One more quesstion you have brought up: Is wordsay wright a play on wordsmith, for that is what you are? ? ? Tom
