I’ll Meet You At Heaven’s Gate Poem by Michael Fischer

I’ll Meet You At Heaven’s Gate

Rating: 5.0

I dreamt all day about you babe;
Which is no different, from other days.
I miss you dearly sweetheart;
You’ll always have a home in my heart.

I cannot wait to see you again!
All I do is write poems in my den;
Poems of you, the one I love.
I wish you could descend from above.

Why? Why did you have to leave me?
Why couldn’t you stay here with me?
To say I’m nothing without you
is an understatement. It wouldn’t do.

I wish I could make the past last,
but your time, has already passed.
So all I can do is simply wait
to meet you again at heaven’s gate.

It's so sad to be in this place, but nearly all of us have been there. Fortunately, time heals the pain, but you've captured it masterfully in this poem. Hopefully, one day, it won't be pain anymore....just a memory in your archives of beautiful poetry. :)

I'd meet you up near Heaven's Gate... Alas my sorrow to endureing being late. Your lips in life swooned deep to my heart... I heartly wept when from me you did depart. Angel's wings will flap you back to me... When next we meet at the end of Earth's Godly leap to eternity... And all it's refound, rebound bundles of happiness. Great poem! Another easy tenner given here. God bless all poets-MJG.
