I Look Poem by Carolyn Thorsen

I Look

I look to the water and see my
dreams wash away.
I look to the sky and wonder why
they won't stay.
I look to my heart and it is broken
into.
I look at you and wonder what it is
you want to do.
Your love is gone, what will happen
to me?
I'll take comfort under a willow
tree.
I look to my soul and feel empty inside.
I look down and know you lied.
I look into the darkness and whisper a
prayer.
Nobody is looking, not even the stars
will stare.
I look to the flowers to find the beauty
in living.
And pray my heart is forgiving.
Your love is gone, what will happen to me?
I'll take comfort under a willow tree.
