I Love You Poem by Jessie Car

I Love You

Rating: 3.3

Each time I see you my heart stops just for a beat,
I catch my breath and try to slow down my breathing,
My heart now feels like the pounding of running feet,
I am now feeling my knees go weak,
I wonder how just seeing you can make me feel this way,
I see a girl I know so little come up to you and give you a kiss on the cheek,
I feel my heart fall down and sink,
I wish I didn’t feel this way,
Every time I see or talk to you my heart seems to break,
I’ve tried everything,
I’ve tried to be mean,
I’ve tried to not give you the light of day,
I’ve tried doing things your way,
In the end I still feel that sinking feeling,
I’ve tried to find a deeper meaning in things you say,
When you talk about that, “oh so pretty girl, ” I feel as if my heart breaks,
I imagine myself that, “oh so pretty girl, ” just for one minute and feel without hate,
I just can’t take this pain anymore,
I go home and think about what there is to live for,
I pick a the sharp blade and think more about this thing life,
My tears are hidden by the rain,
As I make red slivers in my wrists and almost don’t feel the pain,
And for the last time I imagine my self,
That pretty girl with you and wish smile as my eyes gently close forever.
