I Love You Poem by Marie annette

I Love You

I love you
This one simple phrase
It means so much but is used so carelessly
men telling girls dreams that will never happen
Women telling boys of things that will never be
when you say it you better mean it
I love you
When you say it you better be looking into your loves eyes
and be thinking of them and only them
I love you
Is a promise a promise to stay by your loves side no matter what
and yes sometimes we fall out of love
yes we all may love someone but they have to love you too
We may say we love someone
but do we really mean it
Do we really love them
don’t lead a person on when you don’t love them
don’t play make believe and make them believe you love them
I love you
those three word that mean so much
but seem so small
seem so painless
I love you
a phrase that brings so much happiness and pain
A phrase that makes your heart skip a beat when someone says it
A phrase that makes you happy
makes you cry tears of joy
and pain
I love you
words a mother uses
words a father uses
words a wife
and a husband use
I love you
What a child says to his parents
or grandparents
I love you
words you and I use
Words that describe the quickening of your heart
to the butterflies in your stomach
I love you
A simple phrase that seems so little
but means so much
I Love You
