I Love You. Poem by olivia price

I Love You.

Rating: 3.0

You made me sick,
You made me sad.
You took me everything,
And I wanted it back.
I gave you my heart,
But you still wanted more,
I strained to give it all to you,
Trying to make it like it was before.
Deep inside I felt it,
The crazy inside of me.
I wanted it to go away,
But I couldn't pay the fee.
So I lived my life
Like a maniac.
Because you took my sanity,
And everything else I lack.
I did it for your love.
For you to look at us as equal,
But only when you degraded me,
Did I come to my senses and notice that I hated you,
I hated the way you'd cry.
The way you'd talk and laugh,
The way you'd act when you'd drink.
The way you wanted to die.
But I didn't understand,
Nor did I know,
While you acted the way you did,
You were only letting go,
I never got to say goodbye,
Because ignorance blinded my eyes.
I love you.
