I'M A Diabetic Alert Dog (Dad) Poem by Stephen Katona

I'M A Diabetic Alert Dog (Dad)

Rating: 3.0

I'm proud of being a DAD,
Changing the life of a little lad.
Now he can forget,
A never ending threat.

I just seem to know,
When his blood sugar is low.
It's not just any pet,
Who can smell how sweet your sweat.

A quick sniff of air,
Makes me aware,
Even in the dark,
So I start to bark.

If you don't wake,
I'll give you a shake,
And get help to come,
As either Dad or Mum.

wake or awake? hmm? not sure. Who can smell how sweet your sweat......... this is good, though i'd perhaps write: Who can smell your sweet sweat.............. maybe that's why i was at times obsessed with licking my third wife's armpits. could SHE have been diabetic? ? what about a dog as a PAD....pee alert dog? good at night for kids AND for 'OLD' people too! nice rhyming. and i think i've heard of such DADs. maybe you have done a good deed by alerting some readers to the possibility. bri :)
