I'm an alien to myself, Because, I often improvise my doings I don't feel satisfied, for whatever I have achieved I don't stop at any point, no matter how much resistance perceived
I'm an alien to my family, Because, I am often misunderstood I don't want to lead my life, like a traditional business I don't care about the definition of success, that doesn't bring happiness
I'm an alien to the society, Because, I often disapprove its norms I don't discriminate people, in the name of ideology, physique or possession I don't love or hate people, on the ground of color, language or religion
-
They all stand still and stare at me, as if I am from a different galaxy But if I'm an alien, don't we need more aliens in the society?

To overcome your worries, you first have to accept yourself as unique, a person like everyone following fashion or the racial norm. The people who really succeed in life are those that take the road less travelled, by this I mean we realise we are do not have to be the same. Our world is full of prejudice, but it can also be full of love as well, choose your friends carefully, be happy with yourself and you'll go far.
Keep writing it is a joy unto itself.

You are apparently an alien to yourself but really you are yourself, a person who needs to aspire to an ideal. Interesting abstract poem, very well written, thank you for sharing........10++++++++

I am an Alien is a paradox of acceptance and rejection.
Acceptance because there are things in this world that we accept as common among our kin and folk but a feeling of rejection because its against our philosophy of life, just to be in and be part of the group.
Rejection in the other hand because there are things in this world we reject, and most of the time these are activities/ practices of our own people that would cause us trouble.
Anyhow…being an Alien because we challenge them is a membership to the righteous and holy people of God.

You are in command of your soul, your conscience... You are not an alien.
Follow your inspirations, aspirations and dreams. Please don't give up.

An urge to do something new and different is good at your age. Deliver the goods and people will follow you. It takes time, the people and the society don't change overnight. Excelsior.

Being an alien not only to yourself, but to others spells a certain kind of problem. An interesting piece.
